Farewell, wooden railway ties in Zhengzhou Railway Station

Zhengzhou Railway Station, with a history of over acentury, is considered the heart of China's railway network. This year, aproject was started to change the old wooden railway ties in the station. Overa thousand workers have engaged in the project for 33 days. The projectsuccessfully ended on Nov 11, when the first high-speed train passed throughthe station since the project began. This project is the longest and mostdifficult one in China's railway history. After changing the wooden railwayties, the station's running capacity will be improved and passengers will havea better experience in the station.
